Six finished pages, and a seventh unfinished one, of a Surfdog comic I messed around with back in the spring of 2010. The story would be sort of a Big Lebowski-esque “existential mystery”— Surfdog’s ice cream truck gets stolen, and he’d half-assedly attempt to track it down while struggling to make ends meet in a decaying seaside resort town.

I was listening to Plastic Beach a lot at the time, and I think I remember reading in some liner note-style interview on it somewhere that “To Binge” was meant to evoke a sense of “Hawaiian melancholy”. I think that’s what I was going for here. Consider it a failed experiment, or maybe one that just needs a little bit of reworking.
