ALSO I SHOULD MENTION: Chapter two of my shooty-animal-robot-revenge comic MEGAHERTZ is out! Twenty-four more pages of ACTION in a post-cyber-war America. Read it FOR FREE on http://rruffurronline.com, and keep an eye peeled for the LIMITED DELUXE PRINT RUN coming soon!

A couple of take-home commissions from AC. The left one is from a really obscure eighties cartoon, the right two are original characters.

These all came out great, but I’m especially proud of the bug one. I can’t remember ever getting commissioned to do a bug person before!

I AM OPEN FOR BADGE COMMISSIONS, BTW. Check this post out!

This is a promo art piece that Nero and I collaborated on to advertise our new digital zine, RRUFFURR ONLINE.
Basically how it came about was this: We’re both fans of comics with animal people in them, and we noticed that there are a lot of really cool, unique cartoonists and artists working with them right now. We were inspired by Brian Curtis’s RRUFFURR anthology, and how it managed to draw a wide variety of talent together to make a new, weird and unprecedentedly innovative collection of anthro comics, but we also wanted some of that same vibrant energy to be available to read by anyone, anywhere. So we started sending him some e-mails, and the idea of a biannual online magazine took shape.
Months later, we’re kicking off our first issue: an anthro comic showcase that also serves as a proof of concept for our larger goals. For future issues, we’re aiming to include more content per issue, and to cooperate with more artists from many different backgrounds. If you like animal people comics even half as much as I do, visit the site and read the rad stuff we’ve got on there— my first issue of MEGAHERTZ, Nero’s RED RIVERS premiere, Melissa Fox’s arresting WHAT WE’RE TOLD and an exclusive excerpt from T’s THE CITY DREAMS OF TAMINO THE CAT— and then let us know what you think at admin@rruffurronline.com. (Tips are also appreciated, since they’ll be split equally between our participating artists & editors.)
Expect me to talk a LOT more about RRUFFURR ONLINE in the future. I’m incredibly excited about this project, and I hope you will be too!

ATTENTION ANTHROCON 2013 GOERS: Let’s face it: the economy is so far in the toilet right now it’s caught in its metaphorical U-bend, and modern con-goers can’t always AFFORD too much (having already shelled out for travel fees, fast food and a tiny strip of floor in a very crowded hotel room). IAN JAY COMMISSION WORKS HAS LISTENED, and is cutting a couple of less-popular badge styles from its catalog to make way for TRICOLOR BADGES, a new, affordable yet still striking option.
Each badge features a character of the buyer’s choice carefully inked and toned in VIVID WATERCOLOR, along with the character’s name in REALLY EASY-TO-READ LETTERING. They come laminated and clipped for only $20, enough to splurge on some cool art and still have enough left over for partying later!
Visit Table L-05 at AC for these, as well as for more cool badges, books, merchandise, and fun stuff from RRUFFURR, Trumpetshark Comics, and (as ever) Ian Jay Super Comics. More info to come, stay tuned!

The last page of Epiphany is up on http://ianjay.net.
Since 2008, I’ve been putting this weird religious animal people comic out. For old readers, I appreciate you sticking with it. For new readers, thanks for giving it a chance.
Crud, I’m trying to make this not sound like a eulogy. How about this: I’m done with the comic, but this isn’t an “ending”— neither for the story’s characters, for me as a creator, or for you as someone who’s let this story into your head. Everything keeps moving forward. I can’t describe how amazingly grateful I am to have had all of you traveling along with me as we wandered from one side of Epiphany to the other.
I can’t wait to see where we go next. How about you?

New Epiphany page up on http://ianjay.net! Now’s a great time to jump into the series…. or kind of an awful time, depending on how you look at it. ANYWAYS: READ.

New Epiphany page up on http://ianjay.net! Go take a look. I’m really satisfied with how this one came out.
ALSO HEY: I typed up a little thing about shipping stuff earlier today when I reblogged STAUNCH EPIPHANY SUPPORTER Robbydude's video. This'll all get re-summarized in the post-fundraiser wrap-up video I'll be putting out later this week, but HEY: the information is there, in case you were wondering. Cheers!
