LAST IN MY COMMISSION POSTS (for today) (more coming soon though). This isn’t really a conventional commission project, but it’s something I have been working on for a while: I’ve been doing some ancillary card art for Furoticon, a rated-M-for-mature furry card game. I’ve been using their assignments as a starting point to try some neat new things with color and composition, like the cool environment piece above.
If you’re into Furoticon already, or it sounds like something you’d be interested in, I have two cards coming out in the “Di’Ahla’s Awakening” pack coming out soon. I also have a handful more coming out in the deck after that, which I don’t know if I can talk about due to the NDA agreement, so I’ll keep things tactfully vague for now about it. I’m really proud of all the stuff I’ve done for them so far, though, and I look forward to collaborating with the Furoticon team on more projects in the future!

ANOTHER COMMISSION. This one was for friend and collaborator Sigil, based on the fantastic Nightvale-themed fashion commission that TheVeryWorstThing did for her! I tried starting with a really weird color scheme for this one (purple + pink + murky bluish green), but I’m REALLY HAPPY with how it came out. Easily the best cool-lady-with-creepy-podcast-related art I’ve done to date.

ANOTHER COMMISSION, this time for Shiranai! The dude is passionate about fun with guns, so I was only too happy to oblige. DEATH FROM ABOVE.

MORE COMMISSIONS, WOWEE

A couple of badges done for awesome commissioner Goku! DID YOU KNOW I STILL DO BADGES SOMETIMES?? I feel like I haven’t done one in forever. How the heck is anyone gonna try to compete, though, when nobody else at a furry con would be willing to draw an ‘82 Volvo on a badge? I CAN DRAW MANY THINGS, NOT JUST ANIMAL PEOPLE.

SO AS YOU MIGHT HAVE HEARD, I’VE BEEN DOING A LOT OF COMMISSIONS RECENTLY. Here are some of the ones I can show off to you guys!

This was a piece commissioned by a friend of my mom’s, for her daughter and a friend of her daughter’s who just graduated. I started this one a while ago and was still trying to do a lot of fiddly little things with color. Looks good though!

Commission finished for Alteq. He wanted a full-size commission in the style of the glitch badges I did earlier this year, and I was only too happy to comply. Watch out!

A couple of take-home commissions from AC. The left one is from a really obscure eighties cartoon, the right two are original characters.

These all came out great, but I’m especially proud of the bug one. I can’t remember ever getting commissioned to do a bug person before!

I AM OPEN FOR BADGE COMMISSIONS, BTW. Check this post out!

A really cool piece I got commissioned to do recently: a custom slipcover for a DVD set of King Of The Hill: Season 9. The commissioner was really open to creative interpretation, so I came up with a couple different ideas and went ahead with the weirdest one. I really like how it came out.

RECENT COMMISSIONS GO

Up top is the first badge of FWA pre-order commissions I did, for cubetriangle, EDB-command, Toffy and Ormur. The other two items are a badge and a commission I did for Martinisoft and his husband, respectively.

PRE-ORDER COMMISSIONS ARE STILL OPEN, for badges or for whatever else! Check out my special post I put up a couple days ago on HEART BADGES, or take a look at the COMMISSIONS PAGE on my website for more artistic services I offer. All requests can be sent to ianjaycommissions@gmail.com.

Next time you’re looking for an eye-catching piece of wearable OR frame-able commissioned artwork, why settle for less when you could have a one-of-a-kind piece from IAN JAY COMMISSION WORKS?
