MORE COMMISSIONS, WOWEE

A couple of badges done for awesome commissioner Goku! DID YOU KNOW I STILL DO BADGES SOMETIMES?? I feel like I haven’t done one in forever. How the heck is anyone gonna try to compete, though, when nobody else at a furry con would be willing to draw an ‘82 Volvo on a badge? I CAN DRAW MANY THINGS, NOT JUST ANIMAL PEOPLE.

SO AS YOU MIGHT HAVE HEARD, I’VE BEEN DOING A LOT OF COMMISSIONS RECENTLY. Here are some of the ones I can show off to you guys!

This was a piece commissioned by a friend of my mom’s, for her daughter and a friend of her daughter’s who just graduated. I started this one a while ago and was still trying to do a lot of fiddly little things with color. Looks good though!

HEY GUYS. This hasn’t been a really awesome Halloween— my car’s rear window got shattered in an accident and my insurance plan doesn’t cover glass stuff. Getting it repaired will run me around $300, and I’m only barely scraping by as is (due to having moved across the country last month).

I don’t usually do this, but I’m opening up FIVE emergency commission slots. Each one will be $60 for a fully colored and rendered piece. If you want a comic page, you can reserve a slot for one of those too for $120. No matter what you get, it will be cool, I promise.

If you’re interested, drop me a line at ianjaycommissions@gmail.com. If you can’t really afford a commission right now, I have a lot of cool merch available in my store at http://ianjaysupercomics.bigcartel.com (I can ship out stuff faster now, too, now that I actually have a stable office space set up). Donations are also greatly appreciated (paypal: ianjaycomics@gmail.com), as are reblogs/retweets/news spreading.

I don’t have a heck of a lot to my name right now, but I try to pride myself on making ends meet through hard work and smart decisions. Despite my huckster-like attitude sometimes, I don’t actually like treating the internet like some magic money pump, but sometimes bad stuff happens that I can’t really handle on my own. If you could help, no matter how small a gesture, it’d mean the world to me.

Tattoo design I completed for a client recently, based on a CocoRosie lyric about “crystal ships dripping with ice”. I am a lucky dude to get such cool tattoo requests!

IANJAY.NET is revamped and redesigned! I’m planning on using it as a hub for my comic operations. I still have to sort out some of the stuff on the portfolio page and re-upload the rest of the Epiphany archive, but for the most part we’re good to go for SPX. Head on over and take a peek!

Commission finished for Alteq. He wanted a full-size commission in the style of the glitch badges I did earlier this year, and I was only too happy to comply. Watch out!

Little sketch trade I did with Boobun over Twitter yesterday. Everyone knows cartoon animals and banjos go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Hey guys! SO HERE’S SOMETHING I DIDN’T EXPECT: Within only a few days of posting the Cryptozoology For Dumbasses call for entries, I’ve been so inundated with people asking to participate that I’ve FILLED all of the spots on the roster— even AFTER adding five NEW cryptids to bring the master post up to a grand total of 30! With so many entries by so many awesome artists, one thing I can guarantee is that this Chessmaster installment is going to be WICKED BEEFY with COOL ART and INEXPLICABLE MYSTERIES.

If you still want in, you can contact me and I’ll put you on the waiting list, but at this point there are already several people on it and I can’t make any promises. HOWEVER! I do plan on doing another Chessmaster Guide late next spring, so if you don’t get in this time around you can try again next time. No worries!

More updates as they come! Stay tuned!

PS: For those curious: the new cryptids on the list are Spring-Heeled Jack, the Burrunjor, the Hodag, the Ningen, and the Fiji Mermaid. Also, on the original post I put up I had Kraken on the list twice for some reason, which was a typo; one of them was supposed to be Lizard People, but i got someone to do that one, so no worries.
