spookdog2000:

another datamosh badge, this time of Partydog’s character Dildom Andes. I feel like this one is a lot more successful than last night’s attempt for several reasons:
production time: 1 hour, 15 minutes. a lot more reasonable.
line art is a lot more defined against the colored background. might take away a little from its “glitchiness” but definitely enhances readability.
color scheme is a lot more streamlined. character has one or two “highlight” colors that define his shape through all the digital crud. not as many weird “accents” cluttering the composition.
finished picture is completed and PRINTED at 72 dpi, which runs against every one of my production instincts but which keeps production time down and makes “glitchy bits” a lot easier to pull out.
i will probably go back and rework puppytube’s badge once i do a couple more of these, unless he’s really attached to how it is now. WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK? would you buy one of these??

I’VE BEEN MAKING SOME WEIRD BADGES. Take a look at the other two i made last night:

Too cool? Too weird? Too unmarketable? What do you think?

A pic requested by R.B. to commemorate her and Partydog moving into a new apartment together. GOOD TIMES
As ever, I refuse to apologize for completely going over the top with the screentones.

Tonight at 10pm Pacific time (1am Eastern), live from scenic Tukwila, Washington, three titans of indie webcomic cyber-art TEAM UP. Their objectives?
To watch WEIRD MOVIES!
To draw WEIRD THINGS… for YOU!!!
It’s a Bad Movie Night Special Presentation: LATE NITE MOVIES ‘N’ COMMISSIONS!
To watch the stream and/or order a commission, click HERE: http://livestream.com/ijbmn
To pay for your commission, Paypal the money to: phelix@pacbell.net
THAT’S RIGHT, if you’ve ever wanted something drawn by either R.B. of Devour Comics, Partydog of Lamezone, or Ian Jay of, er, Ian Jay Super Comics, now is the time to throw money at us and demand things. Ask for a specific artist or for a collaboration between two or even all three! Get your dumb fox-in-raver-pants character drawn by a seasoned alternative comix pro! We’re ready and willing to take your artistic ideas to the NEXT LEVEL.
AS FOR THE FLICKS: tonight’s first feature is VIVA VHS!, a riveting compilation of videocassette footage from the massive archives of Seattle’s own Scarecrow Video. We’re following that with THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT, a surrealist sci-fi western rock musical by the Billy Nayer Show— it’s a little like a really demented version of Firefly with some catchy tunes mixed in. Our mic will be on, so I guess you’ll be getting our “commentary” as well.
If you’re strung out on little to no sleep, why not get something drawn that you’ve wanted for a long time… WHILE you watch something really weird and entertaining? Come on down to LATE NITE MOVIES ‘N’ COMMISSIONS, starting… very very soon, actually!
